- Protest must be submitted to an Executive Board Member at the show with $100 protest fee.
4. Purebred Points

- Pigs placed behind the animal with removed pedigree will not move up in placings from prior shows.
5. Individual Animal Protests
- Any pig on the circuit can be protested within the first two show locations where the animal is exhibited.
- Once an animal has successfully been exhibited at two show locations without protest, the animal can no longer be officially protested and can still exhibit on the circuit no matter any ruling from a breed association governing body.
- Example – Boone is not two show locations. Boone and Vinton would count as two show locations.
6. Intact Males
- Males must be castrated to be allowed to exhibit at any ISJS Jackpot Show.
7. Substitute Showman
- Animals entered under an exhibitor for a specific show are to be exhibited by said exhibitor in all cases unless the following scenarios occur:

- Exhibitor has two pigs in the same class.
- The exhibitor has an illness or injury during the time an entry is being exhibited.
- In this case, please alert an onsite ISJS Executive Director prior to class starting. Points will not be awarded if ISJS Executive Director(s) are alerted after the class has started.
- If none of the above criteria are met for a substitute showman, points awarded for a specific class and/or Top 5 are forfeited.
- Example: Showman shows pig in class, but not in the grand drive and makes the top 5, exhibitor is awarded class points only.
- If there is any question on a specific hog(s) showman, you must alert an Executive Board member that is at the show.
- Purebred DNA Testing
- At Grand Finale, all breeding gilts and market hogs that are named champion of their purebred breed at the live show will be DNA tested by the Iowa Purebred Swine Council. This includes Verified Iowa Purebreds (VIP) and non-VIP pigs.
